Tech giants can open effective windows of opportunity to those with the right skills and initiative; yet, students of Italian universities often perceive these realities as out of reach. Three Italian Software Engineers who work at META London have wondered whether they could do something to help close this gap, and a few years ago they started touring Italy to share their professional experience. They got in touch with MaLGa staff, and our faculty member Francesca Odone made it possible for the DIBRIS department to host them on the 26th of October at 2:00 pm, in Via Dodecaneso 35.

Aurelio De Rosa, Andrea Tullis and Luca Gasparini will tell their story, from their studies in Italy to their landing at Facebook, now META, but also curiosities about their life in the company. The meeting will include a presentation on how to deal with interviews in a Big Tech, with practical tips, and a Tech Talk about the world of social media. There will also be a Q&A session, in which the speakers will answer the students’ questions about their life in the company.

The event is open to all students of the University of Genoa: to participate, simply register on the event page linked below.
