MEET AI – An Artificial Intelligence workshop for kids at Festival della Scienza
How can one explain the math and computer science behind artificial intelligence in a way that’s fun and intuitive? UniGe's MaLGa will try to do just that with the Meet AI children's workshop, which will be held at Festival della Scienza from 20 October to 1 November.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the protagonist of the technological revolution we are experiencing. AI is the basis of a myriad of systems that we use in our daily life: online searches, biometric recognition, assisted medical diagnosis, up to self-driving cars. But how do these systems work? The animators of the Festival, supported by young MaLGa researchers, will allow participants to discover the languages of these technologies. From Machine Learning to Optimization, from Computer Vision to Natural Language Processing, children and young adults will have a chance to learn, through a fun itinerary and interactive activities, how machines think.
The workshop will be held in the marvellous Palazzo della Borsa from the 20th of October to the 1st of November, it is open to children from 8 years of age and dedicated to both classes and individual admissions. To participate, check availability and book a slot using the link on the event web page or on the Festival della Scienza website.
