Discovering MaLGa: Exploring the Foundations of Learning with Silvia Villa
We are delighted to invite you to the third installment of MaLGa’s special series of presentations by our Principal Investigators!
Tomorrow, Thursday February 6th 2025, at 5:00 PM, Professor Silvia Villa will deliver a talk titled "Computational and Statistical Foundations of Learning from Examples" at the Accademia Ligure di Scienze e Lettere, Sala Conferenze, Palazzo Ducale, Genoa.
Professor Villa will delve into the mathematical foundations of learning from examples, where optimization, statistics, and regularization theory intersect. This convergence is crucial for designing algorithms that analyze complex systems and high-dimensional data. The integration of these disciplines in machine learning leads to deeper theoretical insights and the development of robust, well-founded algorithms.
This event is part of a public series featuring MaLGa Principal Investigators and will be held in Italian. Seating is limited to 70 participants, but you can also follow the talk live on YouTube or watch the recording later on the Accademia’s YouTube channel - links below.
Join us in person for a fascinating discussion on the theoretical pillars that support modern machine learning!
