Discovering MaLGa: Computational Imaging and Learning with Luca Calatroni
We are pleased to announce the fifth talk in MaLGa’s public lecture series featuring Principal Investigators across the center’s research units.
On Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM, Luca Calatroni will give a talk titled "Imaging computazionale e apprendimento da esempi" (delivered in Italian) at the Accademia Ligure di Scienze e Lettere, Sala Conferenze, Palazzo Ducale, Genoa.
In this lecture, Luca will illustrate how computational imaging acts as a bridge between the physical and digital worlds, unlocking hidden information through data processing and algorithmic interpretation. From fluorescence microscopy and digital restoration of artworks, to the computational study of optical illusions, he will show how this field enables us to analyze visual information across multiple domains.
This talk is part of a public series of presentations held by MaLGa Principal Investigators and will be delivered in Italian. Attendance is open to the public, with 70 seats available in person. Those unable to attend in person will have a chance to watch the recording later on the Accademia’s YouTube channel, at the link below.
Join us to explore how computational imaging and learning methods are reshaping our understanding of the visual world!
